Current Conditions and Forecast
Following rainfall on Sunday, Central Florida will experience a return to sunny skies. Whereas Monday will bring a brief respite with cooler, breezy conditions, a warming trend is forecast to take hold throughout the week. Tuesday will see high temperatures in the upper 70s, rising into the 80s by Wednesday as the dry weather persists. By Friday, temperatures are predicted to reach near 90 degrees.
Drought Concerns
The dry conditions are expected to worsen the ongoing drought in Central Florida. Osceola County has already implemented an immediate burn ban due to the heightened risk of wildfires as reported by WFTV. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, as of February 17, 2026, 18.1 million Florida residents are in areas experiencing drought, a 9.6% increase since the previous week according to Drought.gov. January 2026 was the 20th driest on record for the state since 1895, with a total precipitation of 1.35 inches, 1.61 inches below normal.
