Visa Extends and Expands Formula 1 Partnership with Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls

Credit card giant Visa has announced a multi-year renewal and expansion of its global partnership with Red Bull’s two Formula 1 (F1) teams, Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls. The extension builds upon a partnership launched in 2024, providing Visa with increased branding opportunities, enhanced hospitality, and experiential access within the sport.

Continued Sponsorship and New Branding Rights

The renewed agreement sees Visa continuing as a major commercial partner for both teams. Visa will maintain its prominent position as a key partner of Red Bull Racing, while likewise adding new on-car branding placements, continuing its presence on the front wing of the RB22 race car [1]. The company will also continue as the title partner of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 and its F1 Academy programme.

Expanding Reach into F1 Academy

Visa’s commitment extends to the all-female F1 Academy series, now entering its fourth year. As part of the agreement, Visa will support two cars on the grid through the Red Bull Racing Academy Programme. This support aims to foster greater inclusivity and opportunity within the sport.

Exclusive Rights and Premium Experiences

Beyond branding and team support, Visa has secured exclusive rights within the retail banking category, alongside expanded pass-through rights. The enhanced partnership is designed to “unlock a broader portfolio of premium experiences and an even greater access to the team,” according to a Visa statement.

Red Bull’s Growing Commercial Portfolio

This deal arrives ahead of the 2026 F1 season, set to begin on March 8th with the Australian Grand Prix. Red Bull Racing has been actively expanding its commercial partnerships, recently announcing a long-term global partnership with Damac Properties, a UAE-based real estate developer [1].

Both Visa and Damac Properties join Tag Heuer, Rokit, Mobil1, Ford Racing, Carlyle, AT&T, and Gate.io as second-tier global partners of the team. Red Bull Racing also recently established a multi-year partnership with Clear, a male-oriented hair care brand.

The RB22 and the 2026 Season

The Red Bull Racing RB22, powered by a Ford engine, will be driven by four-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar [2]. The 2026 season marks a significant shift in Formula 1 with new power unit specifications emphasizing increased electrical power and sustainable fuels [1].
