T.I. Announces ‘Kill The King’ as Final Album, Eyes Comedy and Family Life

T.I. Is preparing to close the chapter on his rap career with the upcoming release of his eleventh studio album, Kill The King. The artist revealed at the 2026 Grammy Awards that this project will be his last, following a career spanning decades.

Fresh Album and Pharrell Collaboration

The lead single from Kill The King, “LET ‘EM Realize,” is produced by Pharrell. T.I. Shared with Entertainment Tonight on February 1, 2026, that he is “gonna be done” with music after the album’s release, stating, “It’s time.” The album was initially announced in 2021.

Retirement and New Ventures

T.I. Has previously hinted at pursuing interests beyond music. In October 2024, he announced his retirement from performing live, stating he no longer needed the income and was no longer interested in performing for entertainment. He has since ventured into stand-up comedy, releasing his debut special, Cheaper Than Therapy, through his website, Tip Ain’t Funny, in December 2025.

Focus on Family and Future

The rapper expressed a desire to dedicate more time to his family and grandchildren. T.I. And his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris,” have seven children together, and are now grandparents through T.I.’s daughter Zonnique and their son King.

While a release date for Kill The King has not yet been announced, T.I. Believes he has much more to offer the world in other capacities.
