Arbeidsvitaminen Celebrates 80 Years as World’s Longest-Running Radio Program
This week marks a historic milestone for Arbeidsvitaminen, the world’s longest-running radio program, as it celebrates its 80th anniversary. Originating in 1946 as a morale booster for the Dutch workforce, the program has turn into a beloved and enduring fixture on Dutch radio. A Post-War Uplift
The concept of Arbeidsvitaminen, meaning “operate vitamins,” was inspired by the British program “Music While You Work,” which aired during World War II.
