No. 6 Texas Beach Volleyball Dominates at Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic

HONOLULU – The No. 6 University of Texas Beach Volleyball team concluded a successful run at the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic on Saturday, securing a victory over No. 4 USC and finishing the tournament with a 4-2 record.¹ The Longhorns tallied four wins against ranked opponents throughout the competition, including victories over No. 7 Loyola Marymount, No. 9 Cal, and No. 16 Hawai’i.

Texas faced a tough challenge on Day 3, dropping its opening dual against No. 2 Stanford. Despite the loss, Ella Keeven and Lily Davis secured a crucial win on Court 4, prevailing in three sets with scores of 21-17, 16-21, and 15-9.¹ Stanford ultimately clinched the match with a 21-13, 29-31, 15-8 victory on Court 3.

The Longhorns rebounded strongly with a 3-2 win over USC. Emma Grace Robertson and Savannah Thomas, along with Chloe Charles and Lily Davis, earned points for Texas, taking the lead before USC tied the match. The decisive victory came from Brecht Piersma and Katie Hashman on Court 1, winning in three sets with a score of 21-18, 14-21, 17-15.¹
