MONY Group: AI & Loyalty Investments for 2026 Growth

MoneySuperMarket Integrates with ChatGPT, Pioneering AI-Powered Price Comparison in the UK

MoneySuperMarket, part of MONY Group, has launched the UK’s first financial services and price comparison app for ChatGPT, allowing users to access its services directly within the OpenAI interface. This move signals a significant investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and a strategic shift towards meeting consumers where they are – increasingly within large language model (LLM) environments.

Expanding Access Through AI Integration

The new ChatGPT app enables users to search over 150 providers for car insurance quotes and estimates, broadband deals, and current/savings accounts directly through conversational prompts within ChatGPT. Existing MoneySuperMarket customers can even trigger automated car insurance quotes by reusing information already stored in their accounts. MoneySuperMarket highlights that this integration simplifies the process of finding the best deals on household bills.

MONY Group’s Broader AI Strategy

This launch is not an isolated event but part of a larger strategy by MONY Group to leverage AI and enhance customer experience. MONY Group CEO Peter Duffy stated that the ChatGPT integration is “just the start” of the brand’s tech and data investment, recognizing that consumers are increasingly turning to LLM interfaces for information. Insurance Business Magazine reports that the company aims to operate as a “regulated intermediary” within ChatGPT, combining the platform’s probabilistic nature with MoneySuperMarket’s deterministic and regulated answers.

New AI-Powered Tools and Increased Marketing Investment

Alongside the ChatGPT app, MONY Group has launched two additional AI-powered products: Savings by MoneySuperMarket and Price Optimise. Whereas the ChatGPT app is still in its early adoption phase, Price Optimise has already demonstrated significant engagement, with 100 times the clickthrough rate. Sharecast notes that the company is likewise increasing its overall marketing spend, reaching £194 million in 2025, up from £183 million in 2024, with a growing focus on online channels and B2B initiatives.

Market Response and Future Outlook

The announcement of the ChatGPT integration initially caused a share price wobble for MONY Group, reflecting broader investor concerns about the impact of AI-driven distribution. However, Investec maintained a “Buy” rating and a 260 pence target price, viewing the move as an extension of MoneySuperMarket’s existing platform strategy. Duffy believes the integration will position the brand as a “structural winner” in the evolving AI landscape. MONY Group anticipates that AI LLMs like ChatGPT could provide competition to Google in the pay-per-click (PPC) advertising market, potentially reducing reliance on PPC spend in the future.

Financial Performance and Growth

MONY Group reported a 2% revenue growth in 2025, reaching £446.3 million, driven by growth in money and home services. The SuperSaveClub, now boasting over 2.1 million members, continues to be a key driver of growth, generating 16% of group revenue. Members of the SuperSaveClub demonstrate higher engagement and revenue generation, with an average revenue per user (ARPU) of £35 compared to £20 for other users. The company is focused on expanding the SuperSaveClub and reducing reliance on paid media, including PPC.

MONY Group is entering 2026 with momentum, well-positioned to capitalize on the opportunities presented by AI and deliver profitable growth.
