Kevin White Named Director of Athletics at UNC Charlotte
Charlotte, N.C. – Kevin White has been appointed as the eighth Director of Athletics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber announced Monday, February 23, 2026. White transitions from his role as Deputy Director of Athletics at Clemson University, where he has served since April 2022.
Experience at Clemson University
During his four years at Clemson, White oversaw the football and men’s basketball programs and managed the day-to-day operations of the athletic department . He also played a key role in Clemson’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) strategy, revenue-sharing contracts with athletes, and fundraising efforts through IPTAY, the school’s athletic fundraising arm .

White will be officially introduced at a public press conference on Thursday, February 26, at 3 p.m. In the third floor salons at Halton Arena .
