The third team solidified its position in the Bezirksklasse, whereas the first team fought for a crucial home victory in the Verbandsliga to bolster their relegation battle.

Third Team Dominates Iserlohner TS

On Saturday, February 21st, the third team of BC Herscheid achieved a decisive 6-2 victory against Iserlohner TS. The team currently holds second place in the Bezirksklasse.

The doubles matches set the tone for the evening, with Christian Flori and Niklas Müller securing a hard-fought win after dropping the first set (17-21, 22-20, 21-17). René Boueke and Artur Ksinsik, who stepped in for the ill Jan-Simon Claus, dominated their doubles match with scores of 21-6 and 21-9. Jennifer Fischer and Marie-Kristin Torbow added to the lead with a 21-16, 21-17 victory in the women’s doubles, bringing the score to 3-0.

First Team Secures Hard-Fought Victory Against TuS Friedrichsdorf

The first team faced a challenging match against TuS Friedrichsdorf on Sunday, a team recently strengthened during the Rückrunde (second half of the season). After more than four hours of play and numerous three-set matches, BC Herscheid emerged with a 5-3 victory, distancing themselves from the lower conclude of the Verbandsliga table.
