James Madison’s Cliff Davis Named Sun Belt Basketball Player of the Week
NEW ORLEANS – James Madison University guard Cliff Davis has been recognized as the Sun Belt Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday, February 24, 2026.1 Davis led the Dukes to a pair of crucial road victories, scoring over 20 points in both contests.
Dominating Performances on the Road
Davis averaged an impressive 24.5 points per game and 5.0 rebounds during the Dukes’ recent road trip. He shot 62.1% from the field (18-of-29) and 42.9% from three-point range (6-of-14), adding a 87.5% success rate from the free-throw line (7-of-8).2

- February 18 vs. Coastal Carolina: 22 points, 6 rebounds, shooting 8-for-15 from the field and 4-for-9 from beyond the arc in a 67-65 win.3
