Key Account Management Role in Japan

Expedia Group is currently seeking a professional to own and grow a portfolio of top national chain accounts across Japan. This role requires developing and executing multi-level account strategies at headquarters, cluster, and property levels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and unlocking nationwide growth opportunities through upselling, cross-selling, and new product adoption.
  • Leading commercial negotiations at the headquarters level, including national agreements and contract renewals, in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, and leading executive business reviews.
  • Analyzing commercial and operational performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities in pricing, distribution, and product adoption.
  • Sharing insights on the Japanese hospitality and travel market with internal stakeholders to inform strategy and product development.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve issues.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in key account management, chain sales, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships.
  • A solid understanding of contract structures, negotiation processes, and the impact of commercial and operational levers on business performance.
