Marius Borg Høiby Trial: Netflix Payment Claim and Denials
OSLO, Norway – Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit, has accused his former partner, Nora Haukland, of receiving a 4 million NOK (approximately $370,000 USD) payment from Netflix in exchange for a series about their relationship. These claims were made during Høiby’s ongoing trial for alleged abuse against Haukland, according to reporting from Nettavisen on February 26, 2026.
Accusations of Financial Motives
Høiby stated in court that he received information about the alleged Netflix deal after returning to Oslo Prison on Wednesday. He suggested that Haukland’s motivations might be financially driven, stating, “I don’t seek to speculate too much about financial motives.”
Denials from Haukland’s Management
Rebecca Goodchild, Nora Haukland’s manager, vehemently denied Høiby’s claims. “No, this is not true,” Goodchild told Nettavisen. “We have received several inquiries from several production companies who want to build various series with Nora. These production companies are connected to various streaming services and Nora Haukland has refused all such offers.”
Goodchild further clarified that the offers received were significantly lower than the 4 million NOK figure cited by Høiby. “The sums are nowhere near what has been claimed,” she added.
Conflicting Accounts from a Friend
Høiby claimed the information about the Netflix deal came from one of Haukland’s close friends. However, the friend, when contacted by VG, denied having any contact with Høiby. “I have not been in any form of contact with Marius,” the friend stated.
