Winston-Salem Man Arrested in Pharmacy Break-In at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Urgent Care

Winston-Salem, NC – A man has been arrested following a break-in at an Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Urgent Care facility in Clemmons, North Carolina, where approximately 80 medications were stolen. The incident occurred on February 20, 2026, and led to the arrest of Shahaatiin Smiley Stanley, 32, of Winston-Salem.

Details of the Incident

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a break-in at the pharmacy located within the Urgent Care at 2311 Lewisville-Clemmons Road at approximately 7:24 a.m. On February 20, 2026. Investigators determined the break-in took place around 3:50 a.m. That same morning.

Investigation and Arrest

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office utilized video surveillance from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and resources from the Real Time Intelligence Center, employing “the latest technology” to identify the suspect. Investigators stated the suspect was known to them from prior incidents.

Shahaatiin Smiley Stanley was charged with 80 counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering, as outlined in N.C.G.S. 14-72(B)(2), and one count of felony breaking or entering a pharmacy, per N.C.G.S. 14-54.2. He is currently being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center without bond.

Court Appearance

Stanley’s initial court appearance is scheduled for February 27, 2026, in Courtroom 205 of the Forsyth County Courthouse.
