Benfica Honors Long-Standing Members with Platinum Rings and Dedication Emblems

Sport Lisboa e Benfica recently recognized the unwavering loyalty of its members with a special ceremony honoring those who have dedicated 25, 50, and 75 years to the club. The event, held at the Fidelidade Pavilion, saw the presentation of Platinum Rings and Gold and Silver Dedication Emblems to 1,789 members on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

A Celebration of Dedication

The ceremony was a deeply emotional occasion, filled with nostalgia, pride, and a sense of belonging for members of all ages. A subsequent ceremony on February 26th honored an additional 971 members. This marked Benfica Club President Rui Costa’s first time presiding over the event.

Membership Recognition

The Platinum Rings were awarded to members celebrating significant milestones in their association with Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Gold and Silver Dedication Emblems were presented to those marking 75, 50, and 25 years of membership, respectively.

Club Growth

Benfica reported having over 36,000 members as of last year, demonstrating the club’s continued growth and strong community support.
