Younès Guilmot to Host Pole Dance Workshop in Angers

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, dancer and artist Younès Guilmot will lead a pole dance workshop at the Boiler Room in Angers, France. The workshop aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of pole dancing and old school style in an intimate setting.

Workshop Details

The workshop is limited to two participants per session, allowing for personalized instruction. Younès Guilmot, a graduate of the National Center for Contemporary Dance in Angers, will supervise the classes. Sessions are available at three times: 6:30 PM – 7:45 PM, 7:45 PM – 9:00 PM, and 9:00 PM – 10:15 PM.

About Younès Guilmot

Younès Guilmot is a dancer and artist who has collaborated with choreographers including Amala Dianor, Alban Richard, and Tarek Lakhrissi. He discovered pole dancing in 2021 and has since used the practice to explore and challenge representations of masculinity and promote a more open approach to eroticism.

What to Expect

The workshop will initiate with a 15-minute warm-up. Participants will learn basic pole dancing techniques and iconic go-go dancing movements. The tiny group size will facilitate individualized attention and allow participants to progress at their own pace. The session will culminate in learning a choreography that combines dance steps and pole figures, helping participants develop fluidity and stage presence.

What to Bring

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic attire (such as a sports bra and shorts, or a bikini), a small towel, and a bottle of water. Heels (pleasers) are strongly recommended but optional.
