COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 7 University of Missouri gymnastics team concluded its regular season home schedule with a 197.425-197.225 victory over No. 8 Arkansas on Sunday at the Hearnes Center. The meet celebrated the team’s seniors before a crowd of 3,858 spectators.

Tigers Shine with Season-Best Performance on Bars

Mizzou (10-3, 3-3 SEC) delivered a standout performance on the uneven bars, achieving a season-high score of 49.475 – tied for the sixth-best mark in program history. This performance, along with a matching 49.475 on floor exercise, proved crucial in securing the win against the Razorbacks (5-5-1, 2-3-1 SEC).

Event Title Highlights

Mizzou claimed a share of all four event titles for the third time this season. Hannah Horton earned shares of the vault, bars and floor titles, scoring 9.875, 9.925, and 9.925, respectively. Kimarra Echols shared the vault title with Horton, also scoring 9.875. Miaya Terry earned a share of the bars title with a career-high score of 9.925, and Kaia Tanskanen secured a share of the floor title with a score of 9.925. Railey Jackson captured the balance beam title, matching her personal-best mark of 9.950.

The Tigers trailed after the first rotation, posting a 49.125 on vault to Arkansas’ 49.200 on bars. But, Mizzou quickly responded with its season-best performance on bars. Arkansas managed a 49.175 on vault, allowing Missouri to take the lead. The meet remained close on beam, with Missouri scoring 49.350 and Arkansas responding with 49.425 on floor. After three rotations, Missouri led 147.950-147.800.

Strong Finish on Floor Secures Victory

Missouri closed out the meet with a 49.475 on floor, matching its bars total. This strong performance, highlighted by scores of 9.925 from Horton and Tanskanen, secured the 0.200 victory over Arkansas, who scored 49.425 on beam.
