Operations Technician: A Deep Dive into Industrial Water Treatment

What Does an Operations Technician Do?
As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of water treatment installations, ensuring optimal equipment function and water quality. Key responsibilities include:
- Equipment Management: Operating and monitoring installations for peak performance.
- Maintenance: Performing preventative and corrective maintenance, including cleaning, filter replacement, and calibration.
- Quality Control: Regularly analyzing water quality, identifying anomalies, and proposing solutions.
- Inventory Management: Managing stock levels of treatment products and monitoring their usage.
- Reporting: Providing daily activity reports, control results, and event updates to managers and clients.
- Intervention: Addressing issues on-site or remotely as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards.
- Cleanliness: Maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of installations.
What are the Working Conditions?
The position is available to start as soon as possible, with a schedule of 8 a.m. To 12 p.m. And 1 p.m. To 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Compensation is €12.80 per hour, plus benefits including a €9.60/day meal ticket, a €1.50/day dressing allowance, a €4.00/day inconvenience bonus, and a transportation allowance.
What Qualifications are Required?
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following:
- A Bac +2 degree or equivalent in water management.
- Solid knowledge of water and/or water treatment processes.
- Proficiency in maintaining technical installations.
- A willingness to work outdoors and tackle challenges.
- A passion for analysis, research, and developing effective water treatment solutions.
Mandatory certifications include:
- Electrical authorization
- Chemical risk authorization NIV 1
- CACES construction machine (if applicable)
- Safety training (ATEX, fire extinguishers, gas detectors, etc.)
- Handling of chemicals (chlorine, legionella, etc.)
What Experience is Desired?
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
