Roz Purcell Marries Zach Desmond in Intimate Dublin Ceremony

RTÉ 2FM presenter Roz Purcell has married her long-term partner, Zach Desmond, in a private ceremony at Dublin City Hall. The couple, who have been together since 2016, announced the news on social media on Monday evening.

A Decade Together

Purcell shared a carousel of photos from the wedding on Instagram, simply captioning the post: “We’re married.” The couple, who celebrate ten years together this year, announced their engagement in August 2023 after Desmond proposed during a hike on the Cliffs of Moher .

Intimate Celebration

The wedding was an intimate affair held at Dublin City Hall, with the exact date kept under wraps. Purcell, a former Miss Universe Ireland contestant, currently co-hosts 2FM Breakfast alongside Carl Mullan and Aisling Bonner.

Celebrity Well-Wishers

The announcement quickly garnered attention from fellow celebrities, and influencers. Joanna Cooper, influencer, penned, “Abbbsolutely attractive, congratulations xxx,” even as former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh shared, “Aaaaaaahhhhh girl!!!! Huge congratulations to you both.” Broadcaster Louise McSharry too offered her congratulations.

Wedding Style

Purcell stunned in a plunging white lace gown with a veil, while Desmond looked dapper in a classic black suit. She had previously hinted at finding her dress back in November last year.

Zach Desmond is the son of MCD Productions managing director Denis Desmond and Caroline Downey, who manages Irish musician Hozier.
