Bulgaria’s Motorcycle Community Celebrates Season Opening in Plovdiv
Plovdiv, Bulgaria – Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts kicked off the riding season in Plovdiv with a large-scale procession on March 22, 2025. The event, organized by local motorcycle clubs, demonstrated a sense of community and patriotism among riders.
A Tradition of Freedom and Respect
The motorcycle procession began in front of the Vagabonds MC clubhouse, with hundreds of motorcycles participating. Riders from various clubs, including Benzin MC, Anarchy MCC, Fellowship MCC, and Los Amigos MCC, joined together to mark the start of the season. Participants emphasized that the event was not merely a display of power but a tribute to the freedom enjoyed in Bulgaria and a show of respect for those who have secured it.
Route and Community Support
The procession traveled through Plovdiv’s main boulevards, attracting attention and support from onlookers. The motorcyclists continued their ride towards Bachkovo Monastery, where a prayer service was held for a safe riding season.
Long-Standing Tradition
The motorcycle season opening is a long-standing tradition in Plovdiv, with some riders participating for decades. Georgi Milev, a Plovdiv resident, participated in the event for the 55th time, highlighting the enduring passion for motorcycling in the region.
Charitable Component
This year’s season opening also included a charitable component, with proceeds supporting a young girl facing health challenges.
