Duplantis and Ekman Lead Seven Swedes to World Indoor Championships
Seven Swedish athletes, including world record holder Armand Duplantis and rising high jump star Louise Ekman, have been pre-selected to compete at the World Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland, from March 20-22. The announcement was made by national team captain Kajsa Bergqvist.
Duplantis a Guaranteed Contender
Armand Duplantis, the current world record holder in pole vault, is considered a favorite to win gold at the championships. His consistent performance and dominance in the sport produce him a cornerstone of the Swedish team.
Ekman’s Breakthrough Performance
Louise Ekman’s selection marks a significant breakthrough for the young high jumper.
