Juveniles Arrested in Carson City Aquatic Center Vandalism and Vehicle Theft Cases

CARSON CITY, Nev. — Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with the vandalism of the Carson City Aquatic Center on February 28, as well as multiple vehicle burglaries and thefts that occurred in the area between February 22 and February 24, according to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Vandalism at the Aquatic Center

The arrests were made by the CCSO’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) in collaboration with the Patrol Division. Authorities stated that both juveniles confessed to their involvement in the crimes. The initial vandalism incident at the Carson Aquatic Facility occurred on February 8, where an unknown suspect broke into the center according to a news release.

A more recent act of vandalism took place late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, February 24, causing an estimated $10,000 in damage. Multiple windows were damaged in this latest incident as reported by Carson Now.

Vehicle Burglaries and Thefts

In addition to the vandalism, the juveniles are suspected of committing multiple vehicle burglaries and vehicle thefts across Carson City between February 22 and February 24. The investigation into these incidents is ongoing.
