FactSet Reports Fiscal 2025 Results and Provides 2026 Guidance

FactSet Research Systems Inc. (NYSE:FDS) (NASDAQ:FDS) has announced its financial results for fiscal year 2025, alongside guidance for fiscal year 2026. The company reported revenue growth, but also noted shifts in operating margins and leadership.

Fiscal 2025 Performance

For the full fiscal year 2025, FactSet achieved GAAP revenues of $2,321.7 million, a 5.4% increase compared to the previous year. Organic Annual Subscription Value (ASV) reached $2,370.9 million, representing a 5.7% year-over-year growth.

However, operating margins experienced fluctuations. The Q4 GAAP operating margin was 29.7%, a significant increase of approximately 700 basis points year over year. The Q4 adjusted operating margin was 33.8%, down 200 basis points year over year. For the full fiscal year, GAAP operating margin was 32.2%, up approximately 40 basis points year over year, while the adjusted operating margin was 36.3%, down 150 basis points year over year.

GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) for Q4 2025 were $4.03, up 73.7% from the prior year. Adjusted diluted EPS was $4.05, up 8.3% year over year. For the full fiscal year, GAAP diluted EPS was $15.55, up 11.8%, and adjusted diluted EPS was $16.98, up 3.2% year over year.

Leadership Transition

Phil Snow announced his retirement as CEO in September 2025, with Sanoke Viswanathan succeeding him.

Fiscal 2026 Guidance

FactSet is providing guidance for fiscal 2026, anticipating organic ASV growth of 4% – 6%. The company expects GAAP revenues to be in the range of $2,423 to $2,448 million.

Q3 2025 Results

In the third quarter of fiscal 2025, FactSet reported revenues of $585.5 million, a 5.9% increase from the same period last year. Organic ASV reached $2,296.9 million, a 4.5% year-over-year increase. However, GAAP operating margins decreased to 33.2%, down 350 basis points, and diluted EPS decreased by 5.4% to $3.87.

Strategic Growth Areas

FactSet’s performance was driven by growth in both wealth and institutional client segments. The company was also recognized as Databricks’ Financial Services Data Partner of the Year.
