Family of Four Involved in Boise County Crash, Two Deaths Confirmed

Atlanta, Idaho – A tragic single-vehicle crash in Boise County on Saturday, March 7, 2026, resulted in the deaths of a 38-year-old man and a juvenile. Two other family members, a 35-year-old woman and another juvenile, sustained minor injuries.

Details of the Incident

According to Idaho State Police (ISP), the family from Star, Idaho, was traveling north on Arrowrock Road in a GMC truck at approximately 2:00 PM when the driver swerved to avoid another vehicle KTVB. This maneuver caused the truck to veer off the road and roll into the Boise River near mile marker 19 KIVI.

The driver, a 38-year-old man, and one of the juveniles were pronounced dead at the scene. The 35-year-old woman and the second juvenile were able to exit the vehicle and were transported to an area hospital by ambulance with minor injuries Post Register.

Initial Reporting Correction

Idaho State Police initially reported that the 35-year-old woman was the driver; however, further investigation determined that the 38-year-old man was operating the vehicle KIVI.

Investigation Ongoing

The Boise County Sheriff’s Office assisted ISP officers at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police KTVB. All occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts KIVI.
