Romane Rabet and ASVEL Triathlon Dominate Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes D3 Duathlon Championships
Montluçon, France – March 10, 2026 – Romane Rabet of Montluçon Triathlon and ASVEL Triathlon emerged as champions at the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes D3 duathlon championships, following competitions held in Pierrelatte and Montluçon. The events determined the top-ranked clubs for both men and women, with the leading 13 teams qualifying for the semi-final round.
Rabet Secures Victory in Women’s Race
Romane Rabet continued her winning streak, securing first place in the women’s race at Montluçon, building on her regional junior selective win the previous weekend. The Wojcik sisters, Thaïs and Judith, representing Puissance 3 Cournon, finished closely behind, taking second and third place respectively.
Power 3 Cournon and ASVEL Triumph in Team Rankings
Power 3 Cournon Triathlon claimed the top spot in the women’s team ranking, bolstered by Noémie Oury’s 8th place finish. Montluçon Triathlon finished second, with Marie-Julie Rabet (13th) and Elsa Venuat (15th) contributing to their score. ASVEL Triathlon completed the podium, thanks to the performances of Aziliz Naour (4th), Marie Boccard (5th), and Camille Perret (25th).
David Wins Men’s Race, ASVEL Dominates Team Competition
In the men’s race, Benedict David of Montluçon Triathlon took first place, followed by Alexis DUPUY of Team LifeTri and Tom PASIQUER of Chambéry Triathlon.
ASVEL Triathlon once again demonstrated their strength, winning the men’s team ranking with Mathéis CLOEZ (4th), Thomas BERTHOUD (8th), and Tom MONEGHETTI (11th). Team LifeTri secured second place with Alexis DUPUY (2nd), Amandin COLVRAY (13th), and Thibault SOURIS (15th). The Triathlon Club des Monts du Lyonnais rounded out the podium with Antoine CHARRETIER (7th), Jules CHARRETIER (18th), and Mael BISSARDON (23rd).
Champions Crowned
Power 3 Cournon Triathlon was awarded the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes D3 duathlon Champion trophy in the women’s category, although ASVEL Triathlon claimed the title in the men’s category.
Looking Ahead
The next stage of the competition will be the South East semi-final, scheduled for March 29th in Tullins.
