Broken Social Scene Announces ‘Remember The Humans’ Album and North American Tour
After nearly a decade, Broken Social Scene is set to release their sixth studio album, Remember The Humans, on May 8, 2026, via Arts & Crafts. The announcement comes with the release of the lead single, “Hey Amanda,” following the previously shared “Not Around Anymore.”
A Return to Collaboration
Remember The Humans marks the band’s first new studio album since 2017’s Hug of Thunder. The album reunites Broken Social Scene with producer David Newfeld, who previously worked on their breakthrough albums You Forgot It in People (2002) and Broken Social Scene (2005). [1]

Tour with Metric and Stars

Recent Projects
Prior to Remember The Humans, Broken Social Scene released the Let’s Strive the After EPs in 2019 and a collection of B-sides and rarities titled Old Dead Young in 2022. [2]
Personal Loss and Creation
Both producer David Newfeld and Broken Social Scene bandleader Kevin Drew experienced the loss of their mothers during the recording of Remember The Humans. Drew stated, “Our moms would have wanted us to do this, and get it right after 20 years of not working together.” [3]
