Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Battery Capacity Expected to Remain Unchanged

Battery Cell Configuration

According to reports from GalaxyClub, the Z Flip 8 will utilize two battery cells with rated capacities of 1,150mAh and 3,024mAh, combining for a total rated capacity of 4,174mAh Gadgets360, MegaMobileContent. Samsung typically advertises this as 4,300mAh, consistent with the Z Flip 7’s marketed capacity.

Efficiency Improvements Expected with New Chipset

Despite the unchanged battery capacity, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is rumored to feature Samsung’s new 2nm-based Exynos 2600 chipset Gizmochina. This chipset is expected to offer significant power efficiency improvements over the Exynos 2500 used in the Z Flip 7, potentially offsetting the lack of a larger battery. Early tests as well suggest better thermal performance under heavy workloads.

Other Expected Features

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is anticipated to maintain a similar camera configuration to the Z Flip 7, with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP front-facing camera Phandroid. A thinner design, potentially around 6mm when folded, is also rumored.

Release Date

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 8 in July 2026, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, during its annual Galaxy Unpacked event Gizmochina.
