Vince Vaughn’s “Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice” Delivers Laughs and Time-Bending Chaos to Hulu
Vince Vaughn stars opposite himself in the action comedy “Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice,” an R-rated gangster movie that premiered at SXSW on March 14, 2026.
Out March 27 on Hulu, the film, directed by BenDavid Grabinski, follows mobster Nick (Vaughn), who travels back in time so that Future Nick and Present Nick can save fellow gangster buddy Mike (James Marsden) from being murdered. Eiza González plays Alice, a woman caught between these two dangerous men, as the four of them face assassins, kingpins and other threats. The ensemble cast includes Keith David, Jimmy Tatro, Stephen Root, Lewis Tan, Ben Schwartz, Emily Hampshire and Arturo Castro.
A Comedic Take on Time Travel and Gangster Life
The film centers on two gangsters and the woman they both love as they attempt to survive one wild night, complicated by the introduction of a time machine. According to the film’s director, the movie is full of “jokes and fights and surprises and explosions, a lot of music and a time machine.”
SXSW Premiere and Reactions
Grabinski introduced the film at SXSW by jokingly referencing a hypothetical MTV Movie Award acceptance speech, noting, “Movies are the best thing in the entire world.”
Vaughn expressed his enthusiasm for the film’s originality during a post-film Q&A, stating, “It’s just so nice to have an original idea made.”
Eiza González Embraces Comedy
Eiza González, who also stars in another SXSW film, “I Love Boosters,” admitted to being “terrified” taking on the role due to her lack of experience in comedy. She pleaded with the audience for understanding, saying, “This is the first I’m doing it. I was really nervous.”
Vaughn reassured González, praising her performance and contributions to the film, saying, “I thought you were super funny…You had so many great ideas, and I thought you were terrific in the film.”
Where to Watch
“Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice” will be exclusively available for streaming on Hulu starting March 27, 2026. Deadline reports the film will not have a theatrical release.
