One Piece Card Game Announces Banned and Restricted Card List Updates
The ONE PIECE CARD GAME Development Team has announced revisions to its Banned and Restricted Card List, effective April 1, 2026. These changes are part of an ongoing effort to maintain a diverse and strategically balanced game environment for players.
Policy of Banned/Restricted Card Revision
The development team prioritizes creating a game where players can enjoy a wide variety of decks built around different leader cards. To achieve this, the game environment is continuously monitored to ensure strategic diversity. Revisions to the Banned/Restricted Card List are considered when necessary to maintain this balance.
Factors considered when implementing bans or restrictions include a card or deck’s winning rate, performance in competitions, usage rate, comprehensive influence on the future game environment, and potential to inhibit the play of various Leaders. Cards may also be removed from the list if changes in the game environment allow for a more enjoyable experience.
Typically, revisions are announced after the conclusion of Championship Season 1 in Japan and after the World Championship. However, adjustments may be made outside of these periods if a card is deemed detrimental to the game environment.
Banned Cards – Effective April 1, 2026
The following card has been added to the Banned Card List, meaning it cannot be included in any deck:
- This card had been included in various decks that include Blue as an effective option against decks that keep a large number of cards in hand.
