Young Man Critically Injured in Electric Scooter Accident in Septemvriytsi, Bulgaria

A young man is in critical condition after an electric scooter accident in the village of Septemvriytsi, Montana Province, Bulgaria. The incident occurred around 6:00 PM on Wednesday, as the victim lost control and collided with a pole supporting electricity transmission lines, according to the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana.

Details of the Accident

Emergency medical personnel from the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance in Valchedrum transported the injured man to Dr. Stamen Iliev State Hospital in Montana. He was admitted to the intensive care unit, where doctors are working to save his life. His condition is described as life-threatening.

Criminal Investigation Launched

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated under Article 343 of the Bulgarian Criminal Code regarding the incident.

Regulations Regarding Electric Scooters

The accident comes after several incidents involving electric scooters last year prompted some municipalities in the Montana region to introduce restrictions on their use in public spaces like parks and gardens.
