Kasing Lung Appointed Artistic Director of ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026

Hong Kong is gearing up to host the third edition of ComplexCon, a global festival celebrating streetwear, music, and art. This year’s event, scheduled for March 21-22, 2026, at the AsiaWorld-Expo, will be creatively led by Kasing Lung, the artist renowned for creating the popular Labubu characters and The Monsters universe.

Lung’s Vision for ComplexCon Hong Kong

Kasing Lung’s appointment as Artistic Director was announced in November 2025 [WWD]. Bonnie Chan Woo, CEO and founder of ComplexCon Hong Kong, emphasized Lung’s ability to translate imagination into compelling artistic experiences. “There is magic in the power of imagination, and Kasing’s way of expressing this world, painted from emotion, memory and wonder, is powerful,” Chan Woo stated [WWD].

Lung himself expressed his excitement about the role, stating, “I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be serving as the artistic director for ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026, joining The Monsters for this incredible event. I can’t wait to share the exciting experiences we’ve been preparing for everyone.” [WWD].

What to Expect at ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026

ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026 will feature a variety of booths and events, showcasing the latest in streetwear and art. Attendees can also look forward to performances by Jennie Kim of Blackpink, who will make her solo debut in Hong Kong at the Complex Live! stage on Sunday, March 22nd. The lineup also includes American rapper Yeat, and Korean artists Jay Park, Crush, and Allday Project [Discover Hong Kong].

Fitness enthusiasts can participate in the Lululemon-sponsored 3km Complex Run on Saturday, March 21st, featuring music by Seoul-based artists Reddy and Peakboy before their stage performances.

Complex Studio Experience

The festival will also include the Complex Studio, offering attendees the opportunity to capture moments with neon-lit Labubu installations and a poster wall designed by Lung Ka-sing [ComplexCon HK].
