From Patriots to South Florida: Austin’s Journey

Austin entered the NFL in 2023 as a seventh-round pick by the Buffalo Bills, but his journey included stints with the Houston Texans before finding a consistent role with the Patriots. He played 12 games for New England last season, making two starts and logging 144 defensive snaps as part of the AFC Championship team.

The 24-year-old Austin brings a diverse skillset to the Dolphins. Throughout his three-year career, he has accumulated 31 tackles, eight passes defensed, and one interception.
