Shanghai Sharks Extend Winning Streak to Nine in CBA

BEIJING, March 21, 2026 – The Shanghai Sharks continued their dominant form in the 2025-26 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) regular season, defeating the Sichuan Blue Whales 111-71 at home on Saturday. This victory extends their winning streak to nine games Xinhua.

Shanghai’s Dominant Performance

Li Hongquan led the Sharks with 21 points, adding five rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes of play. Notably, seven Shanghai players scored in double figures, demonstrating the team’s balanced offensive attack. The Sharks now boast a record of 24-4, solidifying their position as league leaders Xinhua.

The Sichuan Blue Whales managed to stay competitive in the first quarter, trailing only 25-21. Yet, the Sharks surged ahead in the second quarter with a 34-14 run, effectively sealing the victory. Shanghai has now won 13 of their last 14 games Xinhua.
