Kinepolis Antwerp Adjusts Evening Showtimes Due to Traffic Congestion
Kinepolis Antwerp is temporarily adjusting the start times of its evening film screenings on weekdays to accommodate significant traffic congestion in the surrounding area. The changes, which began last week, aim to give moviegoers more time to reach the cinema during peak hours.
Traffic Delays Prompt Schedule Changes
Due to ongoing roadworks and generally heavy traffic around the Kinepolis complex, particularly during the evening rush hour, the cinema is shifting many 20:00 (8:00 PM) showtimes to 20:45 (8:45 PM) or 20:30 (8:30 PM). According to VRT NWS, Kinepolis spokesperson Anneleen Van Troos stated the adjustments are being made to improve customer experience.
Temporary Measure Tied to Roadworks
The schedule changes are described as a temporary measure, with the duration dependent on the progress of the roadworks. Kinepolis will continue to monitor the situation and adjust showtimes accordingly to minimize disruption for its customers. Van Troos explained that the cinema is “keeping a close eye on the planning of the works and how they evolve.”
Impact on Moviegoers
The adjustments are intended to reduce stress and allow patrons to arrive at Kinepolis Antwerp without feeling rushed due to traffic. As reported by De Krantenkoppen, the goal is to ensure visitors can enjoy their cinema experience without the added pressure of potential delays.
