Actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Yolanthe Cabau has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York City Bar Association for her dedicated work in the global fight against child sexual exploitation. The award was presented during the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women Week in New York on March 17, 2026.

A Lifetime Dedicated to Protecting Children

Cabau is the founder of Free a Girl, a women-led non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on rescuing children from sexual exploitation and bringing perpetrators to justice. The award recognizes her eighteen years of commitment to this cause, encompassing rescue missions, support for survivors, and advocacy for systemic change. Free a Girl utilizes undercover rescue operations to identify and arrest those involved in child sex trafficking.

Recognition of Frontline Workers
