Robot Star (No. 1)

Zac Purton’s ride, Robot Star, experienced multiple challenges during the race. The horse made contact with Forza Toro leaving the 1100-meter mark due to shifting ground. Shortly after, Robot Star raced keenly and was checked when crowded between Lucky Secret, which gave ground, and Winning Diamond, which shifted out. Jockey Hugh Bowman received a reprimand for insufficient racing room to runners inside, while jockey M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care. Near the 50-meter mark, Robot Star was checked to avoid Mega Mastermind, which shifted out abruptly, prompting a severe reprimand for jockey Brenton Avdulla, who was advised to straighten his mount sooner in similar circumstances. Bucephalas (No. 2)

K C Leung, riding Bucephalas, reported the horse bumped at the start and made contact with Matsu Victor leaving the 1100-meter mark due to shifting ground. Bucephalas noticeably gave ground near the 200-meter mark, but Leung could offer no specific explanation for the performance. A veterinary inspection following the race revealed no significant findings.

Forza Toro (No. 3)

Hugh Bowman’s mount, Forza Toro, jumped only fairly and was crowded by Winning Diamond, which shifted out. The horse also made contact with Robot Star leaving the 1100-meter mark due to shifting ground. Forza Toro raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

The Absolute (No. 4)

Luke Ferraris, aboard The Absolute, reported the horse shifted out on jumping and was bumped.

Glorious Success (No. 5)

Dylan McMonagle, riding Glorious Success, stated the early stages of the race were run slightly outside of standard time, and his mount finished in a one-paced manner, struggling to make up ground from the back of the field. A veterinary inspection post-race found no significant issues.

Grand Turbo (No. 7)

Richard Kingscote, on Grand Turbo, reported being bumped by The Absolute on jumping. The horse was also checked near the 800-meter mark to avoid Lucky Secret, which gave ground while racing tight to the inside.

Mega Mastermind (No. 8)

Brenton Avdulla, riding Mega Mastermind, experienced an incident over the final 100 meters when the horse shifted out abruptly, forcing Avdulla to stop riding and straighten his mount. A warning was placed on Mega Mastermind’s racing manners. The horse was sent for sampling post-race.

Multisuperstar (No. 9)

Alexis Badel, aboard Multisuperstar, reported the horse bumped at the start and blundered near the 350-meter mark. Approaching the 300-meter mark, Multisuperstar lay in when having difficulty obtaining clear running while positioned close to Robot Star.

Circuit Marshal (No. 10)

C L Chau, riding Circuit Marshal, was steadied leaving the 800-meter mark to avoid Grand Turbo, which had been checked. Circuit Marshal was also sent for sampling post-race.

Lucky Secret (No. 11)

E C W Wong, on Lucky Secret, was steadied leaving the 1100-meter mark when crowded between Winning Diamond, which shifted out, and Matsu Victor, which shifted in after contact with Bucephalas. Jockey C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care. Lucky Secret lost ground near the 800-meter mark when checked to avoid Matsu Victor. A veterinary inspection post-race revealed no significant findings.

Fighting Machine (No. 12)

Karis Teetan, riding Fighting Machine, reported the horse jumped awkwardly and became unbalanced shortly after the start when bumped by Grand Turbo.

Matsu Victor (No. 13)

C Y Ho, aboard Matsu Victor, made contact with Bucephalas leaving the 1100-meter mark due to shifting ground.
