Martin Nöbauer to Open Schwanenstadt Concert Series with Mozart and Beethoven

Schwanenstadt, Austria – Pianist Martin Nöbauer will launch the 2026 subscription concert series with a recital on Wednesday, April 8th, at 8:00 p.m. In the Süßmayr Hall of the State Music School. The performance celebrates the 260th birthday of Franz Xaver Süßmayr.

A Diverse Program

The evening’s program will feature works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven, alongside a rarely performed piece by Franz Xaver Süßmayr: eight variations on the trio “Tändeln und jeszing” from his Singspiel “Soliman II”. Nöbauer is known for performing on both modern and historical instruments .

Talent Showcase: “Young Swans”

Prior to Nöbauer’s performance, a talent concert titled “Young Swans” will take place at 7:00 p.m., offering free admission to showcase the skills of young musicians from the Landesmusikschule Schwanenstadt.

Ticketing Information

Subscription tickets for four concerts are available for 100 euros at the city office. Single tickets cost 30 euros at the box office, or 35 euros in advance through the show ticket guide.

About Martin Nöbauer

Martin Nöbauer is a highly regarded Austrian pianist who has achieved recognition in international competitions, including being a finalist in the 2nd International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments in Warsaw in 2023. He has also received awards at the Classic on Danube International Piano Competition and the Hildegard Maschmann Foundation Piano Competition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
