A heartwarming tale of seven stolen dogs in Changchun, Jilin province, China, has captured the nation’s attention after they escaped their captors and embarked on a collective journey home. On March 16, a local resident, identified only as Lu, filmed the unusual sight of seven dogs traveling together along a busy highway. The group, consisting of a German shepherd with an injury, a Corgi, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and a Pekinese, displayed remarkable cohesion. Lu described the dogs as resembling “a band of little brothers in distress, moving in unison—entirely unlike stray dogs,” according to Dahe Daily .
The Corgi consistently looked back to ensure the group stayed together, while the other dogs carefully surrounded and supported the injured German shepherd. Despite attempts by Lu to guide them to safety, the dogs continued their determined trek.

The incident underscores the persistent issue of dog theft and the dog meat trade in certain regions of China. Changchun, Jilin province, is known to have establishments involved in the trade. Zhenhong Dog Meat Restaurant Yongxin Road Branch is one such establishment located in Changchun.
