The match, lasting 1 hour and 41 minutes, saw Sinner initially control the first set, breaking Michelsen in the 11th game to close it out 7-5.1 Though, the second set proved more challenging, with Michelsen gaining a 5-2 lead. Sinner demonstrated resilience, battling back to force a tiebreak, which he ultimately won 7-4.1
