Mountain West Basketball Transfer Portal Tracker: 2026 Offseason

It’s transfer portal season in college basketball, and this page will track the comings and goings of Mountain West players related to the portal this offseason. The portal opened on April 7 and will close on April 21. As of March 26, 2026, four MW players have announced their intention to enter the portal when it opens. All MW moves will be tracked below.

Air Force

Hawaii

Overview: Hawaii will join the MW in 2026 (from the Big West) after reaching this year’s NCAA Tournament, its first berth since 2016.

Grand Canyon

Overview: Grand Canyon had a successful first season in the MW and should have one of the conference’s top NIL budgets.

Nevada

Overview: Nevada has had a lot of transfer-portal activity in recent seasons, both in adding and losing key players.

New Mexico

Overview: New Mexico will wrap up its run at the NIT (it is in the Final Four) before the portal activity begins.

San Jose State

Overview: San Jose State has struggled to retain its top players over the years and already lost three players who said they will enter the portal, including All-MW honoree Colby Garland, whose 20.3 points per game ranked second in the conference. He added 4.6 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game, shooting 49/37.2/84.8. He will move to his fourth school in his final year of college. Myers averaged 11.1 points and 4.9 rebounds, hitting 37.2 percent of his threes. Roseborough played only 11 games due to injury, but he averaged 12 points per game on 41.1 percent shooting from three.

UC Davis

Overview: UC Davis will join the MW (from the Big West) in 2026 after averaging 18 wins per game over the last four seasons.

UTEP

Wyoming

Overview: Damarion Dennis was Wyoming’s No. 3 scorer last season, averaging 11.2 points and 3.2 rebounds on 52.0/34.0/86.1 percent shooting. He has two years of eligibility remaining after a season at Wyoming and a season at Texas A&amp. M-Corpus Christi.
