South Jersey Pre-K Aide Accused of Decades-Long Sexual Assault of Children
A pre-kindergarten teacher’s aide in South Jersey has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting multiple children over a ten-year period, according to prosecutors. The alleged abuse occurred between 2014 and 2025.
Details of the Case
Shaun M. Stebbins, 43, of Somers Point, New Jersey, was arrested on Sunday, March 29, 2026, and faces charges including first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child under 13 and first-degree permitting a child to engage in pornography, as well as related offenses according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutors allege that Stebbins created and possessed child sexual abuse material. The investigation did not reveal where Stebbins met the victims.
Employment and Recognition
Stebbins was employed as a pre-kindergarten teacher’s aide at Woodbine Elementary School. Notably, he was named “paraprofessional of the year” by the school in a 2025 Instagram post as reported by Action News.
Authorities are currently holding Stebbins at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Officials believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to contact the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office as stated by NBC Philadelphia.
