Search for Treasure During Sableye’s Gem Hunt in Pokémon Pokopia

The second major event in Pokémon Pokopia centers on Sableye, the Dark/Ghost-type Pokémon known for its love of gems. Running from April 29 to May 13, 2026, the Sableye event invites players to hunt for Red Crystals, trade them with Sableye and unlock exclusive rewards. To participate, players must first rebuild the Pokémon Center in the Withered Wasteland and gain access to Dream Islands. Once the event is active, speaking to Sableye outside any rebuilt Pokémon Center adds it to the Event Pokédex and opens a shop where Red Crystal fragments can be exchanged for special furniture and decorations.

Red Crystals are found in cave systems on Dream Islands, which players can access after meeting the event prerequisites. Using Rock Smash on these crystals yields fragments that Sableye collects in exchange for rewards. The event supports time travel via the Nintendo Switch 2’s clock settings, allowing participation outside the official window without penalties beyond potential impacts on stamp progress.

Throughout the event, players receive a notification when leaving their den: “A Pokémon is the talk of the town!” — signaling Sableye’s presence. This event follows the March Hoppip event and continues Pokémon Pokopia’s series of limited-time activities focused on specific Pokémon and collection-based gameplay.
