Amazon has assured that the vast majority of its teams continue to work “normally” and therefore “there will be no impact” for the e-commerce giant’s customers.
This was indicated by Amazon this Sunday, one day after CCOO has partially called off the strike called for tomorrow and Tuesday after reaching an agreement that affects the workplaces of Amazon Spain Fulfillment, where 15,000 people work. The union made this decision after a long negotiation with the company of almost 14 hours, in which it has achieved its commitment to adopt improvements in matters related to occupational health and payroll problems.
The strike, however, is still called for the 5,000 people who work at Amazon Road Transport Spain. These strikes of one hour per shift, which coincide with the Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaigns, had been called by CCOO alone, and as the union explained this Saturday the agreement “has not been possible” in these last centers since ” “The business proposal does not cover the minimum needs of the staff” due to its characteristics and circumstances.
Amazon has insisted that they are “proud of the salaries, benefits and safe working conditions” that they already provide to their teams in Spain and “of their great work to serve” customers,” reports Efe.
