Diana Peschi to Lead Lanciano Criminal Bar
Attorney Diana Peschi has been appointed president of the Camera Penale di Lanciano for the 2026–2028 term. Her appointment follows a leadership vote held on July 3, where the organization’s board confirmed the executive structure tasked with overseeing the interests of the region’s criminal defense lawyers.
A New Executive Mandate
The July assembly finalized the board for the upcoming two-year mandate, elevating Peschi from her former position as vice president. The new leadership roster is as follows:

- President: Diana Peschi
- Vice President: Luca Scaricaciottoli
- Secretary: Paolo Valentin Sisti
- Councilors: Marta Di Nenno (past president) and Michele Di Toro
- Treasurer: Elvezio Caporale (confirmed in his existing role)
Prioritizing Judicial Advocacy
The board’s platform centers on institutional continuity and the protection of practitioners. Their agenda focuses on strengthening the defense attorney’s role within the broader judicial system through four primary initiatives:
- Institutional Dialogue: Strengthening formal communication channels with the Magistracy and local judicial offices.
- Professional Development: Expanding training and educational activities for registered members.
- Public Outreach: Promoting the culture of defensive guarantees, including through educational initiatives in local schools.
- Tribunal Advocacy: Maintaining a sustained commitment to the preservation and full functionality of the Tribunale di Lanciano, a priority the board identifies as strategic for the local territory.
Upholding Constitutional Guarantees
Addressing her appointment, President Diana Peschi underscored the organization’s dedication to the justice system’s constitutional framework. "The commitment of the Camera Penale will continue to be that of guaranteeing a strong, conscious, and respected defense, in the furrow of the constitutional principles of the fair trial and with a spirit of constructive dialogue with all institutions," Peschi stated.
A Focus on Cohesion
The board concluded its announcement by thanking the association’s members for their participation and support. Moving forward, the executive team aims to lead with a focus on administrative efficiency and institutional cohesion.
