Comiccon Québec 2026: Now 3 Days of Pop Culture Celebration

The Québec Comiccon is expanding its schedule to three full days for its upcoming 12th edition, running from October 9 to 11, 2026, at the Québec City Convention Centre. According to announcements from event organizers, the popular pop culture convention is adding a Friday preview evening to accommodate rising public demand and accommodate growing crowds over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Operating across three floors and covering more than 110,000 square feet, the event brings together fans of comic books, science fiction, manga, anime, video games, cinema, and cosplay. According to convention announcements, the expansion aims to deliver a more comprehensive experience for attendees.

Expanded Three-Day Schedule and Friday Preview

The 2026 edition kicks off on Friday, October 9, with an exclusive preview evening running from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This opening night features access to the main exhibition hall and includes the BurlesGeek performance for audiences 18 and older at 8:30 p.m. in room 2000, according to the official schedule. Access to the Friday preview is included automatically for holders of Weekend Expo PLUS or Weekend VIP Expo PLUS tickets, while standalone Friday tickets are available in limited quantities.

“Le Comiccon de Québec connaît une croissance remarquable depuis plusieurs années. Ajouter une troisième journée nous permet d’offrir une expérience encore plus complète à notre communauté et de répondre à une demande grandissante du public,” stated Scott Péron, Vice-President of Operations, pointing to sustained multi-year growth as the driver for the extra day.

Convention Floor Layout and Activities

The Québec City Convention Centre layout is divided across specific levels to segment panels, shopping, and entertainment:

  • Level 4 (Ground Floor): Houses the main exhibition floor with over 200 specialized retailers offering collectibles, toys, manga, apparel, and merchandise. This floor also hosts the Artist Alley for local and visiting creators, alongside celebrity autograph and photo-op sessions.
  • Level 3: Dedicated to panels, workshops on various pop culture subjects, and a dedicated cosplay lounge.
  • Level 2: Reserved for celebrity stage panels, large conferences, live concerts, and major cosplay competitions, including the Mascarade and the selections for the Cosplay-Eh! championship on Saturday night.

Featured Guests and Special Programming

Headlining film guests announced for the 2026 convention include Lou Diamond Phillips (known for La Bamba, Young Guns, and Stand and Deliver), Paul Castro Jr., and Maxence Cazorla, as reported by event organizers. The artist lineup also features prominent comic book creators such as Louis Paradis, Jeik Dion, and Nick Micho.
