Archbishopric enforces strict sacramental rules
Led by Archbishop Jorge Ignacio García Cuerva, the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires released an official statement clarifying that no community baptisms outside of parish temples have been authorized for the coming months, according to Los Andes. The Church emphasized that celebrating any sacrament outside a consecrated church building requires explicit permission from the archdiocesan ecclesiastical authority. Furthermore, baptisms specifically demand the formal consent of the local parish priest to ensure proper pastoral guidance and correct parish registration, as reported by Los Andes.

The event flyer began circulating widely on digital platforms without identifying any specific organizing political group or institution, according to Los Andes. The invitation instructed interested participants to send messages to a contact number listed under the name “Gladys” and requested that attendees bring candles to “illuminate our homeland” while chanting slogans for a “free Cristina,” as detailed by La Nación.
Neither La Cámpora nor close political allies of the former president shared or endorsed the digital flyer, according to LA NACION. Sources close to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner told LA NACION that her inner circle completely distanced themselves from the proposal, stating they did not know who conceived the idea and firmly confirming that the event would not take place.
