CeeDee Lamb’s Home Burglarized, $300K in Luxury Bags Stolen

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s Fairview home was burglarized on July 30, 2024, resulting in the theft of four luxury bags valued at $300,000, according to Fairview Police Department records obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Fairview Police Investigation Details

The residential burglary occurred between midnight and 3 a.m. on July 30, according to an incident report filed with the Fairview Police Department. Authorities were notified of the crime shortly after 1:20 p.m. the following day. The report lists Lamb as the victim and classifies the offenses as burglary of a habitation and theft of property valued at $300,000 or more. Investigators listed the stolen property as four luxury bags carrying a combined reported value of $300,000. When records were last updated, the theft investigation remained active and the burglary offense was pending laboratory results, with no suspect identified in the paperwork. The Spit Bucket Podcast first reported the burglary on August 1.

Broader Pattern of Athlete Burglaries

The break-in at Lamb’s residence aligns with a wider wave of targeted property crimes against professional athletes tracked by federal law enforcement. In November 2024, the NFL and the NBA issued security alerts warning that high-profile athletes had become prime targets for organized and skilled burglary crews. An FBI Liaison Information Report revealed that these criminal groups monitor athletes’ publicly accessible schedules and social media accounts to track when homes are unoccupied, expecting to find designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash.

Federal prosecutors in Tampa charged seven Chilean nationals in February 2025 with conspiracy to illegally transport stolen property across state lines, accusing the ring of targeting NFL and NBA players since October 2024 in thefts exceeding $2 million. In May 2026, Argentine federal police arrested two Chilean citizens at a Buenos Aires bus station during extradition proceedings requested by the United States, noting the ring had targeted prominent athletes including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Luka Dončić, and Mike Conley.

Prior Incidents Involving North Texas Sports Stars

Several other high-profile athletes in North Texas and across major leagues experienced similar burglaries during the same timeframe. Former Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić had a home broken into in December 2024, with initial police reports listing roughly $23,000 to $30,000 in stolen jewelry while nobody was home, according to local news reports and his business manager. Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin also had his home targeted that year while playing a home game. Additional targets in late 2024 included Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, former Cowboys player Linval Joseph, and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, whose home was burglarized on December 9 while he played a game in Arlington against the Cowboys.

Addressing the security vulnerabilities tied to public visibility, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott spoke to ESPN in January 2025 about the risks of professional fame. “Not everything that comes with it is great,” Prescott said. “You weigh the good with the bad. What we’re subject to, that others can look up and just see how much we make or maybe an address, and that puts us subject to a target.”
