Artist Company and TikTok Partner for Global Actor IP Brand Business, Starting with Lee Jung-jae’s Beauty Brand

Artist Company has partnered with TikTok to launch global, actor-driven brands, starting with a beauty line from actor Lee Jung-jae slated for the fourth quarter of this year. According to Sports Seoul, the strategic memorandum of understanding was signed on October 1 at TikTok Korea in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, marking a shift from traditional celebrity endorsement deals to direct brand ownership and co-creation.

Strategic Partnership Details

Under the agreement, Artist Company manages actor intellectual property and brand development, while TikTok provides global content distribution, creator collaboration tools, and commerce infrastructure. According to Sports Seoul, the collaboration integrates actors directly into product creation, market strategy, and international consumer engagement rather than utilizing them solely as advertising models. The initiative ties into TikTok’s broader $50 million investment pledge for the Korean content ecosystem announced in April, expanding the platform’s creator support model into the entertainment industry.

Lee Jung-jae’s Beauty Brand Launch

Actor Lee Jung-jae serves as the first participant in the joint venture. Having launched an official TikTok account in August, Lee participated directly in designing and developing a new lifestyle and beauty brand reflecting his personal tastes. According to Sports Seoul, the upcoming beauty line targets a fourth-quarter release. Both companies are currently building localized market entry strategies coordinated with TikTok Shop operations in Japan and the United States, alongside matched creator marketing campaigns.

To support the rollout, a global fan Q&A campaign titled “ASK LEE JUNG-JAE – GLOBAL FAN Q&A” begins on December 3. International fans can submit questions via comments on Lee’s TikTok videos, and selected participants will receive direct video responses from the actor.

Leadership Perspectives on IP Expansion

Artist Company representative director Park Seung-hyun noted that the venture formalizes a long-considered structure where an actor’s established influence translates directly into business performance. “This agreement is the first to materialize how an actor’s IP becomes the starting point of a brand,” Park stated, according to Sports Seoul. He added that the firm aims to scale unique models where individual actor perspectives thrive in global markets.

TikTok Korea operations general manager Jeong Jae-hoon emphasized the platform’s ongoing role in connecting Korean culture with worldwide audiences. “We will actively support actors in promoting their IP and creativity globally, expanding overseas fandoms into new business opportunities,” Jeong stated, according to Sports Seoul. He confirmed that TikTok will expand collaborations with the entertainment industry to help Korean actors build independent presences on the global stage.
