Segway Navimow expanded its robotic lawnmower lineup with the introduction of the H5 Pro, featuring a retractable mechanical arm designed to tackle hard-to-reach lawn edges. According to announcements from the manufacturer, the new hardware system addresses a persistent challenge for autonomous mowers by eliminating the need for manual trimming along walls and fences.
EdgeMaestro Arm and Mowing Mechanics
The core innovation of the Navimow H5 Pro is the EdgeMaestro arm, which extends outward by up to 7.7 cm to guide the cutting disc closer to borders, garden beds, and boundaries. Unlike older models that require specialized secondary attachments or manual string-trimming follow-ups, the H5 Pro uses its primary cutting disc for both open lawns and perimeter edges. During edge-cutting operations, the manufacturer reports that the mower operates at a sound level of approximately 58 dB(A).
All-Wheel Drive and Navigation Systems
To handle complex terrain, Navimow equipped the H5 Pro with an all-wheel-drive system powered by four independently controlled wheel hub motors. According to company specifications, the system allows the mower to navigate inclines of up to 80% (38.6 degrees) and clear ground obstacles or depressions up to 6 cm in height. Steering offers two operational modes: a zero-turn pivot or a vehicle-style Ackermann steering configuration. For outdoor positioning, the hardware combines LiDAR sensors, optical cameras, and NRTK satellite location tracking into a proprietary navigation suite called EFLS Tri-Fusion.
Wildlife Protection and Animal Detection
The H5 Pro incorporates an advanced perception system featuring AI-driven cameras, LiDAR, and a thermal imaging sensor designed for nighttime operation to protect nocturnal wildlife. When the onboard sensors detect a small animal, the mower halts its blades and reroutes its path. Users can also configure a mandatory night-driving prohibition via the mobile application. The system focuses heavily on protecting hedgehogs, which naturally roll into defensive balls rather than fleeing when sensing danger. To support these conservation efforts, Navimow announced a one-year partnership with Igelhilfe Schulzendorf e.V., a German hedgehog rescue organization.

Pricing and Availability
Navimow has not yet disclosed official pricing or a specific release date for the H5 Pro. Further details regarding market rollout and regional distribution will be announced by the manufacturer at a later date.
