Action star Dolph Lundgren and his wife, Emma Krokdal, stepped out for a date night at a charity event hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger, according to Fox News.

Dolph Lundgren Returns to Prague for Night with a Legend

According to reporting from the Prague Reporter, Lundgren will return to the Czech capital this December for a public appearance celebrating his career. The event is scheduled for Dec. 12 at Empire Hall in Prague’s Slovanský dům, as the Rocky franchise approaches its 50th anniversary. Organizers state that the evening will focus on Lundgren’s breakthrough in Hollywood, his academic background, and his decades-long career in film.

Lundgren is the latest Hollywood star announced for the Prague Night with a Legend series, following a sold-out appearance by Arnold Schwarzenegger earlier this year, according to the Prague Reporter. The actor’s appearance was facilitated through entertainment attorney Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger, nephew of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who also represents Lundgren.

From Chemical Engineering to Hollywood Stardom

Born Hans Lundgren in Stockholm in 1957, the actor earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering and received a Fulbright scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before shifting to acting, according to Prague Reporter coverage. His international breakthrough came in 1985 when he portrayed Soviet heavyweight boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. He later reprised the role more than three decades later in Creed II.

Beyond the Rocky franchise, Lundgren built a prolific career in action cinema, starring in Masters of the Universe, Universal Soldier, The Punisher, Johnny Mnemonic, The Expendables series, and Aquaman. Organizers in Prague note that the upcoming discussion will also touch upon his battle with kidney cancer. Lundgren revealed publicly in 2023 that he had undergone treatment for over a decade before announcing the disease had entered remission.

Past Productions in the Czech Capital

The upcoming December visit marks a homecoming of sorts for the actor. Lundgren previously spent time in Prague while filming the 1995 action thriller Hidden Assassin, directed by Ted Kotcheff, according to the Prague Reporter. That production used local locations to double for post-Cold War Eastern Europe during the city’s emergence as a major European filming destination.

Tickets for the Prague event range from general admission to packages that include a personal meeting with the actor, with sales hosted through GoOut. The Night with a Legend series previously brought figures including Mike Tyson, Mika Häkkinen, and Jean-Claude Van Damme to the Czech Republic.
