Dyson Unveils Nurovi Robot Vacuum Lineup: R1, R2, and R3 Models Explained

Dyson has unveiled its new lineup of Nurovi robot vacuums, spearheading a massive 10-product autumn release that spans robotic floor care, air treatment, hair care, and oral hygiene, according to reporting by Vacuum Wars.

Dyson Nurovi Lineup Overview

The centerpiece of the 2026 hardware rollout is a three-tier family of Nurovi robot vacuums designed to segment the company’s automated cleaning options. According to Vacuum Wars, the lineup is anchored by the flagship R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, flanked by the R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry, and rounded out by the dry-only R1 Nurovi Dry.

R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV: Flagship Specs

The Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV features an AI-driven stain-detection system that integrates ultraviolet light, machine vision, and green illumination. According to Dyson’s product announcements, the system identifies nearly 200 distinct household substances and targets problem areas for repeated passes until clean, though actual results depend heavily on the nature of the stain.

For mopping, the R3 utilizes a 12-point hydration framework that supplies fresh water heated to 158°F directly to a full-width microfiber roller. The roller self-cleans continuously during operation and extends roughly 1.6 inches—or 40 millimeters—outward to manage baseboards and corners. Dyson rates the suction pressure at 30,000 Pa, representing a 65% increase over the previous Dyson Spot+Scrub AI model. The device empties into a cyclonic, bagless dock that washes and recharges the robot between cycles, with U.S. availability slated for September 15, 2026.

R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry and R1 Nurovi Dry Features

The Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry launches on September 3, 2026, as a Costco exclusive. It swaps traditional circular pads for Reuleaux triangle pads—curved geometries that maintain a uniform width while rotating in an eccentric pattern to reach deeper into corners. The R2 dock heats water to 167°F and utilizes a Twin-capture system that mechanically sweeps large debris using bristles while the primary motor handles fine dust. An acoustic piezo sensor detects dust density and floor types to dynamically modulate suction in Auto mode. The R1 Nurovi Dry drops the mopping mechanics entirely, focusing strictly on dry pickup across hard floors and carpets at a rated 21,000 Pa of suction pressure, utilizing a flexible side-sweeper arrangement to minimize tangles.

Additional 2026 Dyson Hardware Releases

Beyond the Nurovi vacuums, Dyson’s autumn 2026 catalog includes the updated W1 PencilWash + Dok wet floor cleaner and three additions to the HushJet air-treatment series. Personal care items rounding out the 10-product drop include the CameraJet connected toothbrush, the Corrale CoolShine straightener, and the Airsmooth dryer brush.
