The rollout targets everyday business expenses with cash back up to 3.5%, backed by corporate spending platforms and celebrity marketing support from actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba.
U.S. Bank Business Essentials Visa Card Features
The U.S. Bank Business Essentials Visa Card carries no annual fee and provides unlimited 2% cash back on everyday business purchases, according to a press release from U.S. Bank. Cardholders can boost their rewards up to 2.5% total cash back by maintaining a qualifying balance in a qualified business checking account. The product also includes Visa Business benefits and access to the bank’s digital financial utilities.
U.S. Bank Business Essentials Plus Visa Signature Card Structure
The higher-tier U.S. Bank Business Essentials Plus Visa Signature Card comes with a $295 annual fee. This product delivers unlimited 2% cash back on everyday business purchases, paired with up to 3.5% total cash back when linked to a qualifying balance in a qualified business checking account. The Plus card also yields 5% cash back on a business's top spending category up to $200,000 annually, alongside Visa Signature Business benefits.

Spend Management Integration and Celebrity Marketing
Both cards grant users access to U.S. Bank’s Spend Management platform and the ExtendPay fixed-fee payment plan designed for large purchases. Courtney Kelso, senior executive vice president of payments, consumer and small business at U.S. Bank, stated in the release that the products simplify spending, banking, and expense management. To promote the cards, U.S. Bank named actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba as its small business spokesperson. Alba noted her experience founding The Honest Company in 2012 to highlight the challenges of building a business from the ground up.

Data from the PYMNTS Intelligence report titled “SMB Growth Monitor: How Firms Use and Choose Credit Cards“ indicates that reward structures heavily influence small-to-mid-sized business decisions. The report found that 35.5% of SMBs consider “best rewards/cashback features” a factor when selecting a primary card. Specifically, 14.1% named it the main reason for their choice, while 21.3% cited it as an important reason, but not the most important one. U.S. Bank has actively expanded its commercial toolset, introducing an Enhanced Payments tool in July to accelerate money movement and launching Business Resources Central, a free online educational hub, in July 2025.””
